Meet Greg Wilson
Greg Wilson is the Founding Artistic Director of Actors Point Theatre Company (now in its tenth year), the founder of the Sumner Stages Student Theatre Challenge, and creator of “Hendersonville’s Got Talent,” a Tennessee-wide talent competition.
Wilson has been acting and directing professionally and semi-professionally for over 30 years. In addition, he served the Producing Director of The Tennessee Shakespeare Festival from 2008 to 2011.
Wilson’s acting experience covers roles in Fiddler on the Roof, It’s a Wonderful Life, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors, My Fair Lady, God’s Favorite, Annie Warbucks, Little Women, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Sense and Sensibility. and many more, all spanning a 40+ year career!
Wilson’s directing credits of plays and musicals over 40 years include The Man of La Mancha, A Christmas Carol, Leaving Iowa, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, Children of Eden, Steel Magnolias, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Wait Until Dark, Shrek, Sense and Sensibility, and many, many more.
Wilson has performed nationally and internationally in many TV commercials, corporate industrials and a number of Independent feature films. His most recent national credit was a principal role on Investigation Discovery: “Murder Comes to Town” (Discovery Channel).
In addition, Wilson is a respected acting teacher, acting coach and business communications coach in the greater Nashville area and around the region, coaching many actors and executives for commercial, television, film, theatrical roles and presentations.
In fall of 2012, Greg was named the Artist in Residence for the theatre department of Martin Methodist University.
He is a recent former vice president of the board of directors of the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club and the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce.
